gestures!

so, it's been a while since i've done some quick gestures, and boy, it felt great.  i had to warm up for a while before i got into it and here are some of my favorites from this morning.  i'm looking forward to learning lots more from ryan woodward this term!

rust!

This was something I've been working on recently creating a shader network (SOP) from scratch in Houdini.  I was able to adjust the amount of rust, amount of displacement, and the colors giving it a wide variety of what it could be.  It turned out to be a fun assignment, and I enjoyed it a lot.

so, i've been practicing heads mainly because of my advanced figure drawing class, and i'm getting better and better with time and practice.

i think i'm going to paint this... it has the potential to look awesome!

so i sketched a lot today during sacrament...

i think i'm finally caught up...

so, this semester has been a disaster for me.  my time is all invested in doing so many different things.  i've learned something... i really love the animation program here at BYU, so i'm going to stop whatever i'm doing that's wasting me some precious time in 75 CTB and the HFAC.  

well, here's an update.  it's not my best work, but hey, you gotta see what i'm doing now.

So, I learned a lot from my 3 hour head study last night.  I had difficulty with aligning the correct angles of the face, but during hour 2, I finally got it all set up correctly.  It's definitely a learning experience for me!  Again, if you want a great figure drawing teacher dealing with long studies, take David McClellan's class!
